Since we are often traveling on the weekend and people are busy I thought I'd send out a weekend line-up to give us all a head-start!

Day 6, Friday- Texas!
Please pray with us specifically today about scheduling some meetings in Texas.  During the past two years of traveling we have been able to stay pretty much along the Eastern seaboard with the occasional side trip into Michigan.  We have a couple of meetings scheduled in Texas for later on this year, but wanting to make the best use of our time and resources we don't want to commit to going that far for only a few days!  Can you imagine taking a one year old and a three year old from Pennsylvania to Texas, only to stay there for three or four days, and then drive back?  We have endured a lot in the car, but we would definitely need the approval and clear guiding of the Holy Spirit before attempting such a feat!

Day 7, Saturday- Insurance
Pray for some health insurance decisions that we need to make for overseas care.  Being "self-employed" we don't have the benefit of a company plan.  We need a comprehensive plan that will reimburse us for services rendered in Peru (visits, surgery, births, life flight if needed, etc.) and that will also cover us when we are stateside.  There are a lot of options out there and we need wisdom to choose one that will both meet our needs and be the best use of our finances.

Day 8, Sunday- Spirit-filled marriage relationship  "God, prepare our hearts..."
I know that upon reading this title some may be thinking, "Are they having problems?"  Anyone who is married can answer that question!  Pray that we will continually keep God first, and our relationship second, so that as we grow closer to Him, we grow closer to each other!  The uncertainties of deputation life can bring stress...that stress can cause tension...that tension can cause a focus on self...that focus on self can cause us to be unwilling to act and react with kindness and love.  Bad Old Self!  Always getting in the way of a good thing.  Pray that the response to stress would be trusting in God...yielding to His peace...turning our focus to His will...causing us to kneel before Him together and to respond with Christ-like loving kindness.  It's not always easy, but it is possible with God!
